The Apple watch is expected to be released in India in June.

The Apple Watch goes on pre-order on April 10 for first few countries, and in usual Apple style the actual 'on sale' date lands two weeks later on April 24. This is the standard delay Apple puts into its mobile devices.

But India does not feature in the list of first countries that will have Apple Watch. According to gizmodo.com, the prospective sale of the Apple Watch in India might be a result of the country's emergence as an important market for many brands.

Analysts also put the cost of the base model of Apple Watch as being over Rs 30,000. It is a bit on the costlier side but brand loyalists in India will not mind paying that premium to get their hands on the device. The Apple Watch incorporates fitness tracking and health-oriented capabilities as well as integration with iOS and other Apple products and services.
