Blame its out dated hardware, in case of android they never go beyond 2 major upgrades that's why.

New software with old/outdated hardware can't go well anyday.

I think they should restrict the new updates that may cause lags then. But I think companies are doing this specially to force users to switch on new phones.

Yes, i too feel so. They do so to force old customers move out of old devices which eventually stop working due to software lags.

I think iOS11 is the last supported OS for 5s. because they already stopped updates for 5
