I want a new 10 Mbps connection without any STB (OTT/channel benefits) for my indoor CCTV which used to cost Rs. 198 monthly at launch (backup plan) but is discontinued. Only 398 (198 + 200 OTT add-on) is available for new booking. So I thought if it is possible to book new connection of Rs. 398 and downgrade to Rs. 198 afterwards. If anyone is using Rs. 398 plan please check and inform, it would be of much help. Thank you :)

Can the 398 plan be downgraded to 198 now? (The 198 plan is not available for new booking)
Unfortunately, new connections 398 (backup plan) can not be downgraded to 198 plan. You'll have to pay 398 minimum to avail JioFiber.

I would suggest you to take normal 399 internet-only plan because it will not have STB attached and higher speed 30 Mbps. ;)

In Airtel Fiber it is possible to detach DTH from the Stand-by plan due to their system loopholes. The same process is not applicable on JioFiber.

Which is your location?
I saw yesterday CCTV Plan in Cherrinet Chennai . May be you can check Local operators as well in your area.

How it is possible to detach DTH from Airtel Fiber stand-by plan? Can you tell the loopholes? If it's possible then I will try to get Airtel Fiber stand-by 199 plan instead as I don't need 30 Mbps as you advised. Thank you.

My location is Howrah, West Bengal. In my area only JioFiber, Airtel Fiber and other local cable operators (whose service is unreliable and expensive) are available.

First you need to purchase the Airtel 399 Stand-by plan. After a month or so, you can call CC to cancel your DTH connection. After that, the bill will come down to 199 plan. That's it.
