Even I've noticed it now only. It wasn't there for me...

But this is of no use for India as we don't have live tv on fire stick, unlike the US...

In India, major TV networks have own streaming apps and compete with Amazon prime. So, we can't expect live TV from Amazon Prime with major channels.

It usually comes once in a while, it might disappear on your next restart

Not disappear for me..two times factory data reset...live tv option there both fire stick.

do check your operator gives u at least 2mbps stable speed? if yes , don't need to worry. if no, then occasional buffering u may face.
and mobile hotspot or hotspot from jiofi doesn't make any difference in your streaming experience.
