Same problem in Android TV app too and I heard there is a quality selection option available on fire stick isn't it available??

It's fine in Amazon fire stick with 720p and all it's good.

I have used till now 4 types of battery
Amazon Basic AAA(Came with Remote) - works best.
Eveready AAA- Drain within 7 days .
Nippo Gold AAA- showing low battery from 2nd Day.
Godrej AAA- second Best after amazon Basic

U can download firetv remote control app from play store(android device)/app store (ios devices) and use it.
