I'm planning to get an Airtel 200 Mbps fiber connection.
I don't need fixed DTH connection or live TV; OTT content is sufficient for me.
If Airtel launches IPTV in the future, I might consider that.
I don't have an Android TV; I'm using regular monitor.
Can I get the Xstream Android box with 999 fiber plan without DTH and without paying a security deposit? I'm willing to pay 3x or 6x in advance.
But I don't want to pay extra ₹100 for ₹1099 Black plan.

You Go With Rs.1099 Bro! There Only You'll Get Xstream Box With DTH Connection!

Opt For IPTV Whenever It's Available On Your Area! - I Would Suggest This!

I understand your point about going with 1099 plan. However, I think in next 2-3 years, DTH will be largely phased out, replaced by internet TV and IPTV. Jio already offers internet TV and is launching IPTV soon. Airtel, on the other hand, doesn't even have internet TV yet, and their IPTV is only available in a few areas. Since Airtel is so reliant on DTH, I expect they'll roll out IPTV to all cities by end of the year. I really don't want to pay an extra ₹100 for DTH connection I won't use. I need the Xstream box specifically for OTT content. Do you think if I talk to a local Airtel vendor(Chennai), they might be able to provide the Xstream box with the ₹999 plan without the DTH connection?

Airtel is launched its iptv due to TP merger/acquisition talks, Jio iptv have no deadline. So you can go ahead for Airtel bundle iptv by next month.
here is list of cities as of now.

Regular broadband plans also eligible for IPTV, or is it only available with the Black plans? If that's the case, then I seriously won't ever use Airtel again.

Me struggling to get 40Mbps speed by paying Rs.699 + 18% GST with DTH in Urban city, whereas in my hometown getting 1Gbps speed with mobile plan price ~Rs. 286 without GST, but with Family..
