Airtel seems to be updating the Postpaid rental plans

Airtel seems to be updating the Postpaid rental plans. I have an Airtel black 899 plan and they have updated the pack to 999.

new plan or increase in rental should come at additional benifit .
but it seems like pure drive to make more profits from thin air

Why 'Rental' is suffixed in 'Postpaid'? I couldn't find any 'Rental' term in entire Airtel site. It should be 'Postpaid price' or 'Postpaid Tariff', rental is a totally different thing.

As of now, there seems to be no changes in my 599 plan. Didn't receive any message regarding price hike.

this is Airtel Black plan with DTH, Xstream. They are talking about postpaid plans as you pay charges at every month are also called as Rental in other's countries. I have postpaid still at old price but it look likes Airtel updating plans in testing phase after updating airtel thanks app. Check weekly after every update

Mine is Airtel postpaid only, not Airtel black. I also didn’t have Airtel DTH ever.

If you call plans/tariffs as rental, then why not using $/£/€ instead of ₹??

i'm also telling you about Airtel India, coz i also have postpaid plan, but like your screenshot it's did'n't showing in my thanks app, but in my neighbour airtel thanks app showing plan with airtel xtreams just similar as your plan.
