This mobile operators are looting us in all the possible way..

Though I am not interested in SMS, last week I forced to recharge airtel for Rs 129 only for SMS for activating the Axis bank mobile app..

SMS service not available in ₹99 smart recharge was recharged on Dec 3rd 2021 either normal number as well as 1900 not working throwing message sending failed msg just checked in my GF's mobile
I recharged recently few days back. SMS is working fine using main balance.

Currently using Airtel Karnataka Prepaid with every month rechage for 28 days 99rs.
This is being done just to keep number active and I feel expensive paying 100rs without using much since I already have Jio.

Isit worth if I try to Port to Vodafone or BSNL ? What is the other cheapest option if i can recharge for longer validity without having to do every month ?

suggest me which would be beneficial to opt for.

There is no difference between Airtel & Vi regarding smart recharge

I don't know much about BSNL plans

But for secondary sim it could be good to convert into Jio phone for monthly recharge after 1 year or 2 year freebie period is over based on ur 1st recharge 😎

If your phone dual sim capability then port your primary number to BSNL inorder to receive otps, answer verification calls from banks, use as ur WhatsApp number, register in important websites etc. Since it is BSNL even if your sim becomes faulty they'll replace without any hiccups airtel and vi having a habit of forcing u to postpaid if u need a duplicate sim. Also BSNL coverage available in hilly areas, some restricted places in India enough to receive otps. Use ur secondary number for internet and calls. So even if these scam companies pulled a tantrum on you you can throw your connection to their faces and take a new connection.
