Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Jharkhand

Airtel has launched 4G LTE services in Jharkhand starting with Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Godda, Lohardaga, Pakur, Jamtara, Giridih and Barhi. 4G will be offered using dual spectrum bands of 1800 MHz (FD LTE) and 2300 MHz (TD LTE) and is available through mobile phones, 4G hotspots and dongles in these towns.

It has also announced new 4G offer for prepaid customers that lets them enjoy 10 GB 4G data for just Rs 247 with any new 4G handset. With the recharge , 1 GB data will be instantly credited to the customer’s account and the additional 9 GB data can be claimed by the customer through MyAirtel app. Users can avail a maximum of 3 recharges within 90 days, on the offer.

Customers who have a smartphone with 4G support can upgrade to a 4G SIM at their nearest Airtel retail touch points in the city or visit airtel.in/4g to request for a 4G SIM swap. Airtel’s 4G services are currently available in 21 circles across India.

Commenting on the launch, Ajai Puri, Director – Operations (India & South Asia), Bharti Airtel said: We are delighted to extend our 4G services to Jharkhand. With data being consumed now more than ever before – we look forward to inviting our data savvy customers to enjoy high speed internet on Airtel 4G network anywhere, without having to pay anything additional. We have also installed special demo zones and kiosks at all the Airtel retail stores to facilitate easy 4G SIM upgrades for customers.
