Discussion Airtel IPTV STB Launcher Software Updates

Xstream play (com.airtel.tv) home launcher app of iptv box got updated yesterday. Manually triggered by check for updates under system diagnostics>software info>check for updates.

Yesterday's update resolved channel guide issue.
Previously if i am watching 9xm and press guide then it opens all channels guide but now it opens at channel which is currently watching.

Good to hear about the improvements of channel guide.

However, I just checked on mine but in clicking 'Check for updates' button, it shows No updates available.

My STB currently installed application version shows as 1.0.0094

Keep checking bro, u will get version 1.0.0108.

After this version update u will recieve remote firmware update also along with this update.

@TechXpert bro, can you check what does the following shows for you?

Diagnostic -> STB Diagnostic -> OTA Server Registration Status

For me, it's showing Not available.

I assume that's why update is not pushed to my STB yet.

Where to see remote version? In the above image remote version showing as 256 is this same in your STB also?

As you can see i dont have OTA Server Registration Status in between remote version and subscriber id and RTN
Maybe it got removed after latest 1.0.0108 update.

Any other member from forum can confirm this please?

I assume unless I get the OTA Server Registration Status enabled, the software update won't work or something.
