Mostly yes as per TnC of ARPUtel. So the speeds will be revised to 100mbps for normal 999 plan users from next billing cycle ?
People will mostly shift to BSNL/Local FTTH players like ACT/Excitel/Alliance/Asianet express. Jio Fiber is absolutely wasting 30L kms of fiber network by launching 3999 plan for 1Gbps. BSNL as well wasting it, their 15L kms of fiber. Absolutely ridiculous plans I believe. They should launch it between 1999-2499 and many people with 200-300Mbps plan will opt for it.Yeah I noticed it. They were like Plan change kar dunga pata bhi nahin chalega, but we got the better of them silent kllers. So end of another era ig. Now areas with only Airtel broadband will have to live with this mittal vittal circus. I pray local fibers spread now its high time to catch upon.
I don't think Jio will do anything like that. BSNL is having hard time providing 100Mbps in many places, I don't expect then to provide 1Gbps anyway.People will mostly shift to BSNL/Local FTTH players like ACT/Excitel/Alliance/Asianet express. It's not true. BSNL fiber in my place all have speed up to 150mpbs which are price under 1300 incl GST. I have 100 mbps which is very good and i have no issue till last 6 years however if any issue with red light fiber, i simple call the bsnl vendor via whatsapp, they fixed immediately if he is on job working hours with servers having no holiday.I don't think Jio will do anything like that. I am afraid right now that Jio will copy Airtel and reduce their speed too.
Also, considering the current Airtel plans, I wonder if they may even reduce speed for ₹1599 plan. That was the plan I was planning to get if I were to get their connection.
I am just sharing the present situation. It is good if it works great for you. Hope they will do the same where I am from. It's not true. It's a myth about BSNL old days, broadband suffered but it's all fault to vendor in your place if they didn't have any good optical equipment's and knowledge about technical faults.
But In this present time, govt switches vendor at every 6-8 months if maximum complaints were submitted at bsnl office. No issue for user.
I know. That's why said they are wasting it. BSNL+BBNL is having 15L kms and you are saying they can't provide 100Mbps? How? What's the reason? People are not opting for it because local LCOs are asking for too much installation fees. Airtel is not that good anymore. Neither 4G/5G. Not fiber as well.I don't think Jio will do anything like that. BSNL is having hard time providing 100Mbps in many places, I don't expect then to provide 1Gbps anyway.

I saw several people's cried and begging for technical issue of jio fiber and airtel fiber at every single day in my local neighborhood. These private companies which only making money even they told jio stores employee for more suggestion to get fiber connection when they asked for jio sim.I am just sharing the present situation.
