instead of pushing this as a broadband plan, they could just push this as IPTV plan over fiber/airfiber, and charge the relevant fee for the same. 399+GST turns out to be 470 rupees anyways.
If you recharge for 2000 rupees in DTH you could watch for 6 months on an average, so for the whole year it turns out to be 4000 rupees. But this one turns out to be more than 5.6k per year.

this is just my wishful thinking, but Airtel can launch a new xstream box, with embedded 5G esim inside which can be placed anywhere and provide IPTV. same box can provide a hotspot and double up a broadband also. this can also replace DTH and help in acquiring customers, and provide uninterrupted TV+OTT (as extra).

They can't offer, bcoz they dont have Sub-GHz spectrum in 5G like Jio

I recently installed Airtel Black 399 Plan IPTV Pack with 10mbps internet plan at my home, and now I want to only keep the 10 mbps internet plan and surrender the IPTV, is it possible? Customer care is telling you cannot do that with 399 plan

You need to upgrade to high tier plans like 599/699 to detach IPTV and unbundle from Airtel Black.

10 Mbps plan is not available as independent wifi only plan. That's the reason why you can not unbundle IPTV while having this plan.
