These people went a step ahead and increased the Postpaid plan too

My current plan is 599, if I change it now to 999 ( as its 4 connections). Will it stay at 999 after 3rd July or will change to 1199?

Normally after 6months... Dont know this time...

Luckily being a loyal Airtel Prepaid customer since almost last 20 years "without once porting to rival networks and not opting for Jio or Vi as secondary sim in all this period " , so thankfully Airtel still providing me 56 days validity plan at Rs. 311 (previously was getting at Rs. 289 till April 2024) ad 84 days validity plan at Rs. 395.

So overall i am extremely happy that Airtel truly respects and values its relationship / bond with loyal customers

So you are happy that overly congested networks are hiking their prices? Kudos you proved you are a devotee of Airtel.

Do a yearly recharge today and lock discounted tariff for one year, even you have 6 months balance for Rs2999 annual 1 year recharge this new same denomination recharge will be added as 1.5 years new validity in Airtel and you are locking your tarrif for average Rs250 per month for next 1.5 years, where as 56 days recharge costs you Rs649 as revised tariff in Airtel after revision,so 649/56×365 days=Rs4230 you end up paying Rs4230 in long run instead of Rs2999 today or before 3rd July ie Rs250 average monthly instead of Rs324 average every month in coming days

Airtel should thinks about affordability word, when it removes below Rs.179/- recharge, not in price hike statement

Even Rs179 today becomes Rs199 minimum now,to beat that increase in tariff, you can do Rs1799 recharge for one year today or Rs1999 after 3 July
