The Okla speedtest app is showing extremely fake coverage map of Airtel 5G and even after 4 months of launching in Mumbai, it barely covers 30% of Mumbai. The tower’s n78 5G range is piss poor (barely 100m circumference) and they don’t even have n28 band for blanket coverage.

Jio is clearly winning 5G race too.

NSA technology is like that only. Don't expect much from that. Also, don't expect too much Airtel. Due to NSA technology, Airtel is behind by three to four years.

Coverage wise making it difference, but its not on all sites. Its on 30-40% of sites, of no. Of sites on which N78 is deployed.

One month can have 28, 29, 30 or 31 days. Plan here expires on exact same date of the day you recharged on prior month.

airtel is rapidly moving to 4g+ 5g telco just as that of jio

so currently next 2 year till 5g implementation stabilize, airtel doesn't need any deep indoor coverage for SA or NSA

practically once 2g spectrum on 900mhz gets freed due to lower number of 2g only-keypad based handset users, Band 8 can be deployed for 5g SA mode in 2025

secondly n28 or n8 with 5mhz bandwidth capacity wont give real life 5g downloads speed of 20-30mbps. with deep indoor or far long rural , 5km, coverage

which handset/IOT or FWA as hardware os any software app is having mandatory or optional need to connect to small capacity,5MHz, network of 5g as of today. even if some software/hardware comes in market with above specification in say Q42023- how soon that software/hardware gets mass market popularity, and even if its popular ,at what scale demand is getting generated?

so airtel strategy to implement NSA with plan for SA network without n28 bands ands simultaneously decongesting band 8-2g subscriber is well fit plan as of FY23
