Aircel was doing fine and was profitable before Jio so I think the real reason is Mukesh ji
Earlier 1GB data at Rs.265 with 28 days validity. But now daily 1GB at RS.149/ including all India unlimited calls.
Only reason is Jio. Now Jio credits 10 GB free data to all customers. Earlier 10 GB at 1499.

These are external reasons bros

U don't know the internal reasons in management Though i know something abt it

If maxis not acquired aircel then aircel will be Jio for us in early 2009 & 2010

They have awesome plans like what airtel & other operators are giving yearly plans now 995 , 999 like that

Unlimited calls , messages + some data benefits but maxis didn't approved

Well money has to come from somewhere. People were paying Rs 265/ GB so telcos were profitable and there was no stress on bank for bad loan as those telcos were paying loan in time but now data price crashed so telcos become bankrupt and unable to pay loan so banks are losing all money which they had given as loan such as 44000 crore to RCom, 15000 crore to aircel, 6000 crore to telenor and that's why banks interest becoming low from where it users to be.

I just hope with only 3 operators in market price of data will not become Rs500/GB in next 2 years

May be

Govt has the tool to control pricing through BSNL . I mean what Jio is doing now should have been done by BSNL earlier when people were paying 265/gb to control data pricing . They didnt so I am sure in future they will not try to control pricing also.

And you cannot expect a private firm to give you cheap data forever after all they run behind profit and not behind social development
