By scanning the Secure QR Code on the presented Aadhaar/ e-Aadhaar, the identity of the presenter can be verified.

My concern is anyone installing above app can scan my Aadhaar QR and get ALL the details.

UIDAI has introduced new Secure QR Code which contains demographics as well as photograph of the Aadhaar number holder.
Am I missing something?
This is same as masked aadhar. Except aadhar number, all details are displayed on the screen. Only UIDAI app can scan the qr code and provide details.

This is my point of concern. ANYONE having the app and my QR code (which I spread literally everywhere) have access to all my details.
Yes , like we are sharing masked other print out to banks or other vendors....

It seems wrong statement as I can (in fact I did) many things using masked Aadhaar, like new SIM purchase, opening bank accounts. In fact the bank representative insisted I hide first 8 digits and submit the copy. That was when masked Aadhaar wasn't readily available (some 7-8 years ago).
P.S. - Masked Aadhaar doesn't hide ANYTHING except first 8 digits of Aadhaar number.
Sim card was issued to you without aadhar number? How's this possible?
Yes at KYC they ask for masked aadhar card.

No non-govt institution requires full Aadhaar number. Masked one will suffice in almost every cases.

Can a masked Aadhaar card be used as a valid form of identification in places that currently accept regular Aadhaar cards?

Masked Aadhaar has the same validity as ordinary normal Aadhaar so it can very well be used and is accepted at all places where a normal Aadhaar is accepted.
