Vi (Vodafone Idea) 5G Updates

India's third largest telecom operator, has started 5G trials in Pune and Gandhinagar in partnership with European vendors Ericsson and Pune, the company's MD Ravinder Takkar said on Friday.

Vodafone Idea: Reliance Jio and Airtel had recently started their respective 5G trials in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. While Jio is trialing its own 5G technology, Airtel is using Ericsson's gear in Gurgaon using 3.5GHz band.

They should focus on starting volte and vowifi services in all states first, that will help them to retain customer.

but to retain, they need investment in network, which means extra money.

but last 6month vi cant able to grab single sinvestor, nor promoter.

so vi think they can make themself 5G ready so new investor can put his/her hard money to make vi floating.

its like put less than crores to show potential to get capital worth 100 cores.

Good decision last time they did mistake by delayed in 4G which is costing then till now. 5G will not just bring investors but also make the existing customers to stay with them like who knows Mota Bhai will give free 5G in name of trial to Jio active plan customers. They need backup for that.
