Well as of now, the app is dead. Nothing new is getting added and all old content is redirecting to JioHotstar.

They (JioCinema team) might be looking to close their Google Play developer account.

As per Google policy, a developer account can only be clossed when the account is empty (having no apps linked). To close JioCinema app developer account they may have transferred this app to Star India account. Just my random guess.
