I dont know if its a good or bad decision but i have an example:
When i was in university, my classroom had 4 Split AC. Every day the class CR used to come first, or the clerk used to come and power on the AC and by default all 4 ACs were 17-18 degrees.
Sometimes students also used to do that while windows were kept open, doors not closed properly, and while going for interval/lunch breaks keeping the AC on.
Very soon the AC got spoiled and water started leaking from all ACs. Many times they used to forget to put of the AC after class and next day when we used to enter the class it would be damn cold. The classroom is first of all not that big and we students used to put off the AC manually as there was no remote to change the temperature.

These days, It has become a trend to use social media to gain attention. This is definitely a non-issue. One can always change the temperature to whatever they want using the remote control. Nobody is forcing anything here. People should use commonsense before posting such things on Twitter.
I wonder how can journalists be so dumb

This is something to be welcomed. We shouldn't oppose everything that govt does. Using at 24 will also benefit us.

It should be like the AC runs for 1 hour it should then come to default at 24 C which cannot be changed.Setting the default at 24 c does not make sense when it can be changed.
