The opening weekend of the 12th season of VIVO IPL, broke all existing viewership records. 219* mn viewers (All India 2+ U+ R) tuned in on the opening weekend, which was 31per cent* higher than last year. Specifically, on the opening day, reach in HSM grew by 30 per cent* while in South reach grew by 20 per cent*, driven by a strong regionalisation strategy....

219mn viewers on tv plus 135 mn viewers on hotstar= 354 mn total viewers this is just for 1st 4 matches
This is so huge :ouch::ouch:
 
Star india's aim for ipl12 on hotstar is 300mn viewers & already they crossed 135 mn viewers on hotstar for just 4 matches:eek:

It's not technically unwanted as they added flagship chs like star Bharat without increasing price but yes not everyone like every chs
