Orissa cricket officials expect a packed Barabati stadium for the opening ODI between India and West Indies on Tuesday, at Cuttack.
After half-empty stadiums during the Test series in major cities in India including New Delhi and Mumbai, Board of Control for Cricket in India expressed a desire to shift matches to smaller centers. The Barabati stadium in Cuttack has a capacity of 45,000 and officials are expecting a tickets to be sold-out.
MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar have been rested for the first three ODI matches while Virender Sehwag will lead the hosts. It however, seems to have made no difference to fans as the venue has been thronged for tickets, according to reports. The other ODIs in the 5-match series will be played in Vishakapatnam, Ahmedabad, Indore and Chennai
