Breaking 14 coaches of Utkal Express derails near Muzaffarnagar

At least 23 people were killed as 14 coaches of the Puri-Haridwar Kalinga Utkal Express derailed in Khatauli near Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was extremely pained by the derailment, while railways minister Suresh Prabhu said an inquiry has been ordered into the accident.

train accident becoming a trend these days..and that too in UP, past 1 year 3-4 major train accident took place there....
In Every 5 years Rail minister got changed...Lalu Yadav, Mamta Banerjee,Dinesh Teivedi,Mukul Roy, Suresh Pravhu..but Rail safety and security become A reason to headache for common people.
Ministers are Announcing "Aadarsh Rail Station" , Commissioning Google Railtel wifi in every station, but forget to fillup the Vacant seat in railway...
Almost 10000+ seats are vacant in Railways ....Rail minister should think how fast this Vacancy's can be filled in proper way ...so that we can reduce the death ,casualties due to train accident.

Railway already has more than 15 lakh workers. Other large railway network like China and US works with much less manpower. How many more do you need ? Filling seat or changing railway minister will not solve accident. It never worked earlier and it will never prevent accident in future.

Only technology can help prevent accidents and for that Fare needs to be raised as safety comes at a price. Just look at accidents of Indian made cars like maruti/tata and cars made by Audi/BMW etc in our cities. All passengers of Indian car dies whereas in a crash of foreign car nobody gets hurt seriously.
This is a burning example.

Trucks and Buses are still made of Woods in 2017. And companies sell these without crash test. How can you expect Wood will protect you in a crash ? Just last 13 aug in our village 11 passengers died and other 72 injured because of bus accident.

Sadly safety takes back seat when we buy vehicles so we buy those(and Govt allow them to be sold too) which failed in crash test.

So you get what you hv paid for.

shortage of loco pilot, number should be increased...

Are those all ticket selling/checking staff only if so then also there is huge queue infront of ticket window

That's a different issue but what are these 15 lakhs strong work force doing ? China maintain twice large rail network than india with similar work force, if those people can maintain 2 times large network then why these 15 lakhs people cannot maintain half of china's rail network ?

This proves the significance of technology, that's why man power will not solve accident problem
