Alibaba, Medium, Flipboard, Snapdeal, Trivagao, The Weather Channel, The Financial Times, Pokedex.org, GitHub Explorer, Flipkart, Offline Wikipedia, and Forbes have also all launched PWA-enabled websites.

Samsung is replacing Opera Max with its own privacy and data savings app called Samsung Max. Samsung says the new Max has an “enhanced design and user experience” compared to Opera’s discontinued version, with two key Data Saving features that help users monitor data usage and manage privacy, while allowing users to access the internet securely.

The new app is particularly aimed at those in India, and builds on the company’s “Make for India” program, which Samsung says is designed to provide locally relevant and beneficial software and hardware.

Annabelle Ransomware

Annabelle-Lock.jpg

This is very suspicious as this ransomware boots along with the OS by overwriting the master boot record of the infected computer with a bootloader. Once your computer is booted up, this exploit does the following tasks to deploy and grip itself onto your computer:
  1. Terminates security programs.
  2. Disables Windows Defender.
  3. Turns off the Firewall Protection.
  4. Encrypts your data.
  5. Spreads through USB Drives.
  6. Runs a variety of programs.

10,000 PNB credit, debit card holders affected by data breach

Card details of customers at Punjab National Bank were offered for sale through a website for at least three months, investigators believe

10,000 bank clients hit by breach of credit card data

This includes names, expiry dates, Personal Identification Numbers and Card Verification Values. Sasi said two sets of data were released: some with CVV numbers and some without. The last date stamp on the data is January 29, 2018, indicating that the details are still current for thousands of card customers.

“We believe, on preliminary analysis, that the data has been available for at least three months. While this is yet to be firmly established, we are carrying out our forensic investigation,” said a government official familiar with the case. Virwani was asked by Asia Times to comment on the breach, but has not yet responded.

Investigators in both the private and government sectors are still trying to determine how the breach occurred. It is thought the data could have come from a laptop or mobile phone carried by a bank customer that was infected with a malicious code, or from a third party. Payment gateways also had access to the data.

But an investigator said it was more likely the bank’s security was compromised, as a large amount of data came from a single source.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has always shown its reluctance to play Test match under lights since its invention. But Virat Kohli and his men are yet to make their debut in the unique format. However, now the head of the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) Vinod Rai has now pulled up BCCI to plan the day-night Test in October this year.

Bhoot Bangla? Assembly in ‘high spirits’

Deaths of 2 MLAs make Rajasthan lawmakers wary of 'haunted' House

The deaths of two sitting MLAs within six months have made legislators wary as they fear that the Assembly building may have come under the influence of so-called evil spirits. A ruling BJP MLA even suggested that the chief minister perform a "yajna" to rid the House of the influence of "ghosts". Government Chief Whip Kalulal Gurjar admitted that certain members of the House were uneasy ever since the deaths of the two MLAs and that he himself feared there might be a "ghost" troubling the place. "It is said that the Assembly was built on a land which was a cremation ground earlier and there may be spirits roaming around," he told reporters today.
