Discussion Airtel MD calls for yet another tariff repair in the industry

Bharti Airtel hinted at another tariff hike on Friday, citing the lowest ARPU for telecom service providers in India.

Gopal Vittal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Bharti Airtel, said during the third-quarter investor call that further tariff repair is necessary for the industry to achieve financial stability.

“I want to underscore that ARPU in India continues to be the lowest globally. Further tariff repair is needed for the industry to be financially stable and deliver reasonable returns on a sustained basis,” said Vittal.

Discussion Aircel and Dishnet 4G signals appearing in network scan

Today I was checking the available mobile networks in my home location and I was able to see Aircel and Dishnet 4G in the carrier list which was not previously visible.
Rcom 4G was present even after shutdown of commercial operations but they have 2100 MHz spectrum in Mumbai so that was fine, but Aircel doesn't have any liberalised spectrum in Mumbai circle and yet I'm seeing the 4G network which is strange.

Is anyone else able to see these in network scan?

My experience with BSNL 4G after porting from Jio

I am using secondary sim - BSNL.
Ported from Jio to bsnl in Jan 2025
Using iphone, so getting all calls via VOLTE.
cant tell which band it connect 700 or 2100mhz.

Voice quality is good, considering all calls are volte and its my secondary sim.

Speeeeeeeeeeed?
Speedtest app shows maximum 50mbps downaload and 24 mbps upload

my residance, work place, travel within city, shows LTE, 99% of time
Traveling to outside city gives 80% of time LTE signal,

Is it worth usable.
I would say yes my 99% usage of internet on iphone is fulfilled by bsnl 4g sim,
whenever signal goes to 3g or GPRS, its dead slow .
Because averga speed is 14mbps for download and 7 mbps for upload with LTE signal for more than 90% of time of usage.

Only concern as of today is BSNL donet support ESIM, and i dont want to convert my other airtel sim into esim into iphone.
Plan to go for annual recharge, in first or second week of march . because bsnl may notoriously increse prices or decrese validity from 1st april to show profits

Usage areas - Maharashtra and Gujrat circle.

important question lowest speed is 0.5 mbps at certain places where signal is weakest at certain time like evening.

Discussion Apple Invites Updates

Apple has introduced a new app called Invites, designed to help users plan events such as birthday parties, graduations, vacations, and baby showers. The app allows users to create customizable invitations by selecting background images from their Photos app, choosing from Apple’s built-in images, or opting for an emoji background. Font customization is also available to personalize the invitations. Additionally, Invites integrates information from the Maps and Weather apps, providing invitees with essential details like weather conditions and directions to the event location.

The app also offers features such as collaborative playlists through Apple Music and shared photo albums, enhancing the event experience for both hosts and guests. It is available for download on the App Store for iPhone models running iOS 18 or later. Please note that while anyone can respond to invitations, creating them requires an iCloud+ subscription.
