Reliance Jio impact: Airtel to report first quarterly loss in 15 years on constantly falling revnues

KOLKATA: Market leader Bharti Airtel is slated to report a net loss in the fiscal fourth quarter ended March — its first in 15 years — stung by a mix of continued pricing aggression from Reliance Jio Infocomm, a cut in international termination rates, and a move from subscribers to lower priced bundled packs from higher ones, analysts said.

Anderson surpassed West Indies great Courtney Walsh to become the most over-worked pacer in Test history. Walsh had bowled 30,019 in his career, picking 519 wickets, while Anderson now has 30,074 balls, with 531 wickets in his name.

Anderson is fourth in the list of players to have bowled most deliveries, that is headed by Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan. Murali has bowled a whopping 44,039 balls in Test cricket, and has picked 800 wickets.

Good move if implement actully there should be increase of fine to 3000 which almost par of comprehansive policy for two wheeler and 5000 to 20000 fine for 4wheeler so that everyone buy insurance specially third party insurance but also govt force insurance co to give full info regarding policy to the policy holder no hidden agenda in it bcoz insurance co exploit at a time of claim and which they reject using hidden term and condition.

Xiaomi has introduced e-gift cards called Mi Gift Card available on Mi.com. Mi Gift Card have been rolled out in partnership with QwikCilver, which is a prepaid card solutions provider. Xiaomi’s Mi Gift Card can have a minimum value of Rs 100 and a maximum value of Rs 10,000. Users can choose cards by occasion such as birthday, wedding, congratulations, etc or customise by uploading their own design or photo. Mi Gift Card can be sent over email, and instantly added to the user’s Mi account. People can use up to 10 Mi Gift Cards in one transaction.

35% 4G subscribers from rural areas, Jio and incumbents neck and neck in rural India: CMR

India had 83 million, or 35%, of the 238 million 4G subscribers coming from rural areas, which means every one out of three 4G subscribers in the country come from a rural territory as of December 2017, according to analysis by CMR .

The report pointed that despite Jio being the 4G leader operator with 160 million subscribers at the end of December 2017, it could manage to increase 122% (88 million) subscribers in the year 2017, as compared to 457% (64 million) by the incumbent mobile operators.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched the beta version of the
virtual ID (VID) feature on Monday.

Residents can go to the UIDAI website and generate a VID number. The service providers will soon start accepting the VID number in lieu of the
Aadhaar number . The UIDAI has set a deadline of June for the full rollout of VIDs.
