Bro my cousin had already done full kyc fir his account earlier but didn't opened savings account earlier so when I visit the bank page on Paytm app then it was showing to open then it was opened when we entered nominee details and set passcode, earlier it was not available. I agree with you partially. Yes, here private broadcaster is paying millions or billions to acquire rights of sports events and should have sole discretion how to telecast or monetize it but as we have seen due to these channels being priced abnormally high most common citizens find it extremely difficult to subscribe them thus pretty much not contributing to the desired motive.

Ofcourse those viewing television on terrestrial or Free Dish medium do not have access to private sports channels + can't afford private operators & DD helps them not miss these events but similarly those making a shift to private operators for watching basic entertainment needs shouldn't be punished unnecessarily.

Right now too private broadcaster is getting 75% of total revenue generated by DD during airing of such events alongwith earning thru their own feed hence they r surely not suffering any loss. There r 2 reasons for this, those who like better presentation or quality coverage and have some money to spare they will surely opt for private broadcaster. Ad Rates or Subscription r always charged at premium rates by them. DD Free Dish will get chunk of viewers from rural or small towns and these numbers will be no doubt quite huge but would not attract high ad slot rates, even if we suppose affluent audience tunes to DD then it will reflect in ratings and ad rates will be jacked up accordingly thus benefitting both. In all these situations private broadcaster is bound to gain , infact its DD which is at receiving end as they reserve timing blocks for these while hardly get ad revenue. Many DD officials raised this issue in past too.

Lastly as said by respected member to reduce traffic diverting to DD blocking the channel is not the solution as by that you are being unjust to major % of population by making them indirectly realise that if u don't have money then u r undeserving of watching country competing at international events. Right way to move forward is to price channels correctly, also not pay absurd amounts to get rights. We r not living in Europe or America where spending power is high thus broadcasters need to be cautious of how much they r investing and possibility of returns. Sorry to say but BCCI international or IPL rights amount r not in tune with market reality and need immediate correction to facilitate healthy growth and fairness.

I dont know if this is good or bad, but certainly all those who asked where so called 15 Lakhs are gone are questioning/against this Universal basic Income scheme.
