Vi One plans launched with fiber, prepaid, and OTT benefits

I would've considered this Vi plan if I were in Kerala alone. But because I have to come to Bangalore, I can't take this because Vi coverage sucks big time..
Plus they don't have 5G..
Let's hope the AGR case where DoT has expressed its openness to reconsider the calculation of dues and interpretation the definition of revenue arising from licensed services, goes in the Telcos favour. Then they may get back a significant portion of the equity they gave the government and will be able to invest in expanding 5G and fiber services.

Jio facing backlash on social media after increasing their tariffs

Importantly, Airtel and VI have hiked prices as well, affective from the same day, theirs same to same packs are still costlier than Jio, so why aren't they facing that Backlash?
Actually Airtel and VoId are "Known Devils" and Jio is an "Unknown Angel". People had doubts on Jio from the very first beginning and once their doubts are proved right, hatred started flowing.

Usually Airtel first increases the tariff, then VoId increase the same day and Jio increases after few days, giving ample time for users to recharge cheap and long term plans. But what happened this time is totally reverse. Jio increased FIRST, even before Airtel and didn't allowed long term recharges to be done.
JIO is facing backslash only due to the unnecessary media attention for the lavish wedding
This is another reason and many are relating the tariff hike to the lavish wedding expenses, like Ambanis are paying the bills of wedding using the increased recharge values. But personally, I think it is pointless. First it is his personal thing, next it is not illegal and he is just using a TINY FRACTION of his personal money. I am not judging whether it is right or wrong, to be honest - I don't care about HIS expenses, as well as his wealth.

The mammoth 5000 Crore is actually less than the profit made by the UnListed Co "Jio Platforms" in one single quarter before tariff hikes. Jio is NOT even his biggest company (not yet). For comparison sake, it is equal to say like, "BOTTOM most person in the Top 1% of the high earning Indian --- spending Rs3 Lakh for his kid's wedding" (For reference less than 1% of Indians comes under Income Tax limit).

I am not approving the lavish wedding in any way (who am I to approve, btw). It is true that, you can be simple, even after earning so much money. Some are comparing Tata's and Ambani's life style. There is a very famous saying that, "Speech is Silver, But Silence is Gold". It is simple, Tatas are Gold. Even then, saying "You are having Gala time in that Lavish Marriage using My recharge money" is way too much, imho.

Another real reason, which is often overlooked by many, is "The Upcoming Super IPO of Jio Platforms". They have to show increased profitability in coming quarters. Few Lakhs of low value recharge customers moving to BSNL will instead increase the ARPU, which is their ultimate goal and is a win-win situation for Jio, imho.

----------

Now coming to the point, without a single doubt, "Having a Secondary SIM is a LUXURY now", especially with full data pack. The Pain of lower middle class & less income people is REAL. Single SIM usage is the only way to go for them. Better solution is using minimum Fiber plan for home users and Single SIM of Jio/Airtel for the bread-earner who is also on the move. At least, Jio has JioBharat phones / JioPhones, with plans cheaper than VoId / Airtel.

I wonder what will the people do, when BSNL itself increase tariff after Pan India 4G lauch, which is inevitable, imho. Let us just hope, BSNL will not increase the minimum recharge value for incoming calls to the level of Airtel/VoId. Else, yet another "BoyCott", "Outrage", "Hatred" will be repeated again.

I mean, charging Rs350 per month for 1.5GB data/day + UL Calls/SMS is OK, but Rs199 is the minimum you have to pay for keeping your number active in network for 4 weeks is NOT OK, imho.

Discussion Useful tips for iPhone/iPad users

Here are some useful keyboard tips.

Use Text Replacement on iPhone or iPad

You can use Text Replacement to create shortcuts for your favourite words or phrases that you frequently type. To do this:
  1. Go to SettingsGeneralKeyboard.
  2. Select Text Replacement.
  3. Tap the Add (+) icon.
  4. Enter the word or the phrase you frequently use in the field beside Phrase.
  5. Type the shortcut that will automatically expand into the phrase you saved in the field beside Shortcut.
    • This could be the phrase’s abbreviation, such as zz for your email address.
  6. Tap Save.

Easily capitalise words

Usually, you’d tap the Shift key and then tap the letter you want to capitalise.

But there’s another way.
  • Capitalize one letter: Tap and hold the Shift key → Without lifting your finger, slide it to the letter you want to be capitalized. Then release your finger to see the alphabet.
  • Capitalize all letters: And if you need to type something in all caps, there’s a shortcut for that, too. Just quickly double-tap the Shift key. This will activate the Caps Lock, allowing you to type in uppercase without pressing the Shift key for each letter.

Access numbers and punctuation without switching keyboards

Typically, you’d tap the 123 button to switch to the numeric and symbols keyboard, select your desired character, and then tap ABC to return to the letter keyboard.

But there’s a much simpler way to do this without the hassle of switching keyboards. Here’s how:
  1. Tap and hold the 123 button.
  2. Without lifting your finger, slide it to the number or symbol you need.
  3. Once you release your finger, the keyboard automatically switches back to the letters.
This quick swipe method lets you easily insert numbers and symbols, streamlining your typing and making it more efficient.

Get more character options

If you ever need to type accented letters or special punctuations that aren’t commonly used in English, your iPhone or iPad keyboard has a simple solution.
  • Just tap and hold on to the letter; a menu will pop up showing all the available variations for that letter, including accents and other diacritical marks.
  • This feature also applies to emojis, particularly those representing people. You can select different skin tones if you tap and hold these emojis.

Enter the domain address faster

Another trick lets you type a website’s domain address faster.
  1. All you need to do is open a web browser→ Head to the search/address bar → Type in the site’s name.
  2. Enter the period → Hold it until a popup menu with a selection of top-level domains such as .com, .edu, .org,and more appears.
  3. Swipe to the desired domain, and you’re done.

Discussion Want to make a reaction Channel on YT

I'm thinking of starting a review/reaction/breakdown of movie trailers/teasers channel on YouTube but when I uploaded a video (that includes a small portion of full trailer played), I got copyright claim. But many youtubers do the same but they don't receive any copyright claim. How ? And, I noticed this claim is coming only on Indian trailers/teasers like, came on Stree 2 trailer. But English trailers like Deadpool and Wolverine works well without any problem.
