Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has developed 5G experience zones across all its retail stores in the country. According to the company, the 5G experience zones will showcase the power of the 5G technology to consumers and various use cases, including immersive virtual reality entertainment and cloud gaming. Further, more than 1000 Airtel stores will have specially trained executives who will demonstrate 5G use cases and answer all 5G-related queries along with Airtel’s own offerings.
“Customer obsession continues to be the core tenet driving us at Airtel. We heard from our customers about their curiosity and desire to experience the new technology, as the networks get rolled out. The Demo zones in our stores will provide first-hand experience of Airtel 5G Plus and the potential it holds to transform the lives of our customers. I am certain, the customers will love the experience provided here, as we construct our network across the length and breadth of the country,” said Shashwat Sharma, Director of Consumer Business, Bharti Airtel.
Airtel has also launched its 5G Plus services in Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula. The company will expand its 5G Plus services across all these cities in due course of time.
“I am thrilled to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in Chandigarh, Mohali & Panchkula. Airtel customers in these three cities can now experience ultrafast networks and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up all the cities which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos, and more,” said Ushpinder Singh Gujral, CEO Upper North, Bharti Airtel.
Airtel launched its 5G Plus services in October 2022, and as of today, it is available across 20 states in the country. The telco also said it is rolling out the 5G services in a phased manner and continues to construct its network in the country. Airtel users with 5G smartphones can enjoy a high-speed 5G Plus network on their existing data plans at no additional cost until the rollout is more widespread.
