You Broadband & Cable India Ltd, broadband service provider in which Citi Venture Capital International (CVCI) owns majority stake, has won a contract to provide WiFi services at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA).

“You Broadband’s WiFi network will cover the entire airport premises (domestic and international) including arrival, departure and other passenger touch points allowing hassle free Internet access. We believe our shared focus in customer convenience and service along with You’s expertise in the connectivity space will together help us provide a delightful user experience,” he added.

Mumbai’s CSIA had about 20 million – 14.8 million domestic and 6.8 million international – passengers between April–December 2010, as per Airport Authority of India estimates.

The service will enable Internet access through laptops and smart devices. This would help passengers access e-mails, games, music, videos and social networking sites among others.
