Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi managed to sell over 2 million devices in India in Q3 this year, which translates into an year-on-year growth of more than 150%. This was revealed by the company's India head Manu Kumar Jain in a tweet.
This is the highest sales Xiaomi has registered in India ever since it entered the market in July 2014.
"Mi India has been warmly welcomed by users, which is why we are one of the fastest growing brands in the smartphone industry today - one out of every four smartphones sold online was Xiaomi," Jain said.
As for the ongoing quarter (Q4), Xiaomi - which has now entered India's offline market as well - already sold 1 million phones in the first 18 days of October. So, it's likely that the firm will set a new sales record this quarter.
