Xiaomi never ceases to surprise us! The latest product in their lineup isn’t something you would have otherwise imagined from a relatively new Chinese phone vendor…it’s…a water purifier.

The newest announcement made via the company’s official Twitter account reveals the all-new Mi Water Purifier. No, this isn’t some kind of a joke, rather a great initiative by the company to reduce plastic footprint.

The device falls into Xiaomi’s IoT category of products as it can controlled using your smartphone. This further expands the company lineup which already includes diverse products such as power chargers, lamps, air purifier smart bands and more.

The purifier looks plush and is in line with the ‘Apple-inspired’ Xiaomi design. The purfier puts all the setup hassle at bay by directly connecting to your tap and with 205x260x410mm dimensions won’t take away much space. This makes it highly portable and really convenient for those who live in rented apartments.
