Xiaomi reduced the price of the Redmi Note to Rs. 8,999 and
announced that it will go on sale in India on Flipkart on December 2nd.
Today the company has announced that 50,000 units of Redmi Note smartphones will be available for purchase in the first batch of sales next Tuesday at
2PM.

40,000 Redmi 1S smartphones went on sale on the smartphone’s first sale on September 2nd.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note packs a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels)
IPS display based on OGS technology and 178-degree wide
viewing angle, powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450 GPU and runs on MIUI v5 based on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has 13MP rear
camera with LED Flash, 5MP front-facing camera, 2GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory with microSD expansion slot and a 3100 mAh battery.

Even though there are 50,000 smartphones, it could go out
of stock in seconds, similar to the previous Mi 3 and Redmi 1S sales, since there is a huge demand. 5000 Flipkart First subscribers will get early access to purchase the
smartphone on December 1st.

It is also running a contest to
offer priority passes for 100 lucky winners everyday till Dec 1st so that they can get the smartphone on the launch day without any registration.

The company has not revealed the
number of people registered for sale yet. http://www.fonearena.com/blog/124243/xiaomi-to-sell-50000-redmi-note-smartphones-in-india-on-dec-2nd.html
