Pre Show Highlights

Pre Show panel consists of Renee Young, Booker T, Jerry "The King" Lawler (who immediately makes fun of Renee's dress), and Corey Graves, who really is looking sharp.

Paul Heyman drops by the panel. He says Brock Lesnar is prepared like he always will. He said that even in a triple threat, Brock Lesnar will be a focal point because Ambrose and Rollins won't be able to neutralize Lesnar. Heyman even hopes the former Shield guys team up against the Beast because that's going to put the thought into their head of who's going to betray whom and Lesnar will then divide and conquer.

Renee asks Heyman, "Who is the biggest threat to Lesnar, Ambrose or Reigns?" to which he responds "Brock Lesnar."

Alberto Del Rio vs. Kalisto (c) for the United States Championship in a 2 out 3 Falls Match

Mauro Ranallo on the call for this one alongside JBL and Byron Saxton

Del Rio gets a decent round of boos during the intro while Kalisto gets a decent pop.

Right off the bat, Del Rio goes after Kalisto's mask. ADR gets the advantage early. However Kalisto turns around fortunes with a huricarnana and follows up with a cross body from the turnbuckle to del Rio on the outside. ADR takes advantage soon after. His mocking of the Lucha chant gets a good round of boos from the crowd.

Del Rio works over Kalisto on the outside for awhile but when trying to lawn dart Kalisto into the corner post, the champ pushes ADR into the corner himself to take control. He then hits a huricanrana form the barricade onto Del Rio, vaulting him over the barricade. When he goes to get ADR, Del Rio hits Kalisto with a chair and gets himself DQ'd.

Kalisto wins the first fall by DQ

Del Rio uses the advantage from the chair short and really works Kalisto over all over the outside.

They go to commercial and come back and we learn that the second part hasn't started yet. After they ring the bell, Del Rio deflects a few kicks from Kalisto & quickly hits his foot stomp to a hanging Kalisto to pin him for the second fall.

Del Rio wins the second fall by Pinfall.

Del Rio dominates the beginning of the third fall and continues to go after the mask of Kalisto. Kalisto finds himself in the Tree of Woe and Del Rio goes for another corner stomp. Before he can, Kalisto grabs Del Rio's head with his legs and Frankensteiners him off the top!

This leads to a Kalisto fury, which only results in a 2 count for Kalisto. This becomes a more back and forth affair, with a VERY close near fall for Kalisto after he hit a spinning DDT on ADR. A failed top rope maneuver leaves Kalisto in the Tree of Woe again. ADR delivers an inverted superplex onto Kalisto but Kalisto was lucky enough to roll out of the ring.

On the outside, ADR sets Kalisto up in the Tree of Woe on the barricade and hits a nasty foot stomp. He goes inside to try to win via count out, but Kalisto just beats the count at 9. Back in the ring, ADR goes for yet another foot stomp in the corner but Kalisto is tries to sit up and try to convert it in a Salida Del Sol. He fails at that but is able to push ADR into the corner and roll Del Rio up for the 1-2-3.

Kalisto wins the third and final fall by roll up to retain the US Championship.

Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch vs. Namoi and Tamina

Fast Lane opens with a women's match!

Cole replaces Ranallo in the booth. There's a Spanish and German announce team tonight, so someone is going through a table at one point.

There seems to be some confusion between Sasha and Becky about who starts. Sasha takes it, but Becky tags herself in. Sasha isn't happy but they do double drop kick Tamina. Naomi is tagged in and does her multi kick thing to Becky but Becky has none of it and suplexes Naomi out of the ring. Some well coordinated double teaming by BAE ensues.

Team BAD gets the advantage on Becky when Naomi hits a pseudo neck breaker on Becky that lands Becky's head on the top turnbuckle. Becky becomes face in peril with Team BAD working her over. Becky tries to make a tag and is almost there but Naomi pulls Sasha off the apron just in time. Team BAD continues to dominate Becky Lynch.

Becky finally is able to neutralize both Team BAD members and tag in Sasha. The Boss is a House Of Fire! She gets Naomi in the Bank Statement but Tamina pulls her off. The Boss chases Tamina around the ring and back into the ring and runs right into a Naomi Rear View. Naomi goes for the pin but Sasha kicks out at 2.

Both members of Team Bad work over Sasha but Sasha is able to land on her feet when Team BAD tries a double suplex. Becky hits a double missile drop kick on both women from the top rope. The Boss locks in the Bank Statement on Tamina. Naomi tries to break it up, but Becky catches her and puts her in the Dis-Armer. Tamina taps out.

Sasha Banks submits Tamina to win the match for Team BAE.

Sasha and Becky celebrate together after the match. Neither one attacks the other.

Kevin Owens (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship

Kevin Owens gets control early with a cheap headbutt when the ref is trying to separate both men on the ropes.

The crowd is decidedly split. KO let's Dolph know "Your home town likes me more than you!"

Despite Dolph getting a little mat wrestling in, KO continues to control the match. Dolph gets brief control with a drop kick but KO gets it back very soon with a very hard face first Irish whip of Dolph into the corner. KO trash talks to the crowd, who boos him for it.

Dolph finally makes a come back but AGAIN it's short lived when KO delivers his running senton on Dolph's back. Crowd again is split. KO works over Ziggler with a chin lock, screaming at the ref to "ask him." Owens runs at Ziggler in the corner but Dolph side steps and KO slams his shoulder into the post and flies out of the ring.

This allows Dolph to finally open up some offense. He hits four elbows on KO and goes for a pin but KO is able to kick out. Both men are slow to get up. Dolph goes for a running DDT but KO catches him and puts Ziggler on the ropes and hits his corner cannonball. The results in a near fall for KO.

KO goes for the pop up powerbomb but Dolph gets the jumping DDT he was looking for earlier. It looks nasty but KO is able to kick out. Owens hits his back slam off the top rope but Dolph is able to roll out. KO goes to follow him and gets met with a sweet super kick.

Back in the ring, Dolph goes for a Zig Zag but Dolph grabs the rope. KO hits a super kick of his own. Both men are down. Owens is up first but the Dolph gets up quickly and hits KO with another kick of his own. Owens rolls out of the ring.

KO pulls Ziggler to the floor with him and goes for an apron powerbomb... but Ziggler reverses it into a huricanrana into the steps!

Back on the inside, Ziggler hits the Fame-Asser for a near fall. Ziggler calls for Sweet Chin Music but almost hits the ref with the super kick. In the confusion, KO picks up Ziggler and delivers his Pop Up Powerbomb for the 1-2-3.

Kevin Owens defeats Dolph Ziggler to retain the Intercontinental Title

The announcers talk up "KO Mania" afterwards. Ownens makes sure to stare down Michael Cole afterwards.

Backstage, Big Show, Ryback, and Kane are backstage and talk about how in the jungle, size matters. Oh and Kane is going to send the Wyatts to hell.

The Wyatt Family vs. Kane, Big Show, & Ryback

While Big Show enters, Braun Strowman steals Byron Saxton's chari for Bray Wyatt.

Starts with Ryback and Erick Rowan. Rowan has early control. The Big Guy turns it around with some corner shoulder blocks. Big Show is tagged in and Team Big Guys continues to have control. Ryback comes back in but Rowan turns it around and tags in Luke Harper, works over Ryback. Brawn is tagged in as the Wyatts start to dominate.

There's not a ton of crowd interest early on.

Ryback suplexes Rowan and tags in Kane, who delivers a floating DDT on Rowan. Kane controls Rowan. The fight spills to the outside and too many distractions allow the Wyatts to regain control. The Wyatt Family works over Kane for awhile.

Kane finally able to make a tag to the Big Guy, who works on Harper. He hits consecutive CM Punk knees and Michael Cole actually says he "Looks like a cruiserweight." Crowd gets into some Feed Me More chants as Ryback slams Harper over and over again.

Match starts to break down with consecutive run ins, that ends with Big Show Gorilla Presses Luke Harper out of the ring! Big Show then spears Strowman on the outside. The Big Guy and Luke are back in the ring. Ryback hits the Shell Shock on Luke Harper for the win.

Ryback, Big Show, & Kane defeat the Wyatt Family.

JoJo interviews Roman Reigns. He says that things will end up changing with him and Dean Ambrose after this. Ambrose rolls in and agrees. They make a bunch of Fast Lane/travel references, including the word "Price Line." JoJo reminds them Lesnar is in the match too. Dean says there's no way Brock is winning and it will be one of the Shield brothers across from Triple H at WrestleMania.

Brie Bella vs. Charlotte (c) for the Divas Championship

Brie is wearing Bryan's WrestleMania 30 kick pads.

It's very even between both women early on. Because Charlotte mocked the YES chants early, Brie mocked the Flair strut a bit later. Brie hits a snap back reminiscent of her sister and then goes for the Bryan kicks, but Charlotte rolls to the apron. When Brie goes to get her, the champ grabs Brie with her legs and tosses her outside, taking control.

Charlotte maintains control for awhile with a slow pace. Brie ends up applying a sleeper but Charlotte drops Brie to take control back.

The crowd is not alive for this match.

Charlotte takes some time to mock the Yes! chant and the Bella dance. Ric Flair loves it. Brie is able to take back control with her running knee against the rope. Then hits her with a Bellahammer (!) for a near fall. Charlotte regains some control with some chops and solidifies it with a big boot. The champ goes for the Figure 8 but Bella kicks her to the outside.

Brie hits a top rope drop kick but then starts holding her left knee. She is able to use that leg to hit the DB kicks anyway. Charlotte goes for the Figure 8 but Brie turns it into the Yes Lock. Ric tries to interfere but fails and Brie turns the submission into a single leg Boston Crab.

Charlotte is able to kick her off and places the Figure 8 and Brie taps.

Charlotte wins by submission to retain the Divas title.

WWE airs a WrestleMania 32 promo. Meanwhile, I'm kind of still in shock that the Wyatts lost.

JoJo interviews Y2J backstage prior to the match. Jericho says that "You're only as good as your last match." He said that the pressure is on AJ. If AJ wins, then he's cemented his place in WWE, but if he loses, that may send Styles out the door.

AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho

There's some back and forth chain wrestling to start. Both men trie for their submissions early to no avail.

There's a very loud split crowd here, who is awake again for this match.

Both men continue to trade offense evenly with no one getting the early advantage. A drop kick form AJ followed by a snap suplex is able to get Styles an advantage. However a huge back body drop from Y2J to AJ reverses momentum. This continued for a bit until Jericho missed a corner splash and fell out of the ring. Styles goes for a spring board outside but Jericho catches AJ with some kicks to regain control.

The crowd continues to be really into this match as AJ takes back control with some strikes, including a beautiful looking flying elbow to Jericho, who is sitting at the time. Styles goes for the Styles Clash but Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho, which AJ escapes from. Jericho hits an enziguri for brief advantage but soon receives a face plant from Styles as this match starts to become a back and forth affair.

Jericho slaps the back of AJ's head and tosses Styles into the corner. Y2J goes for a move on the top but AJ escapes and knocks Jericho down. AJ goes for a springboard elbow but Jericho is able to knock Styles down with a springboard drop kick of his own prior.

AJ gets enough control and puts him to the top rope. Jericho knocks him down but AJ hits Y2J with a Pele kick. AJ goes back up to deliver more offense but Jericho takes AJ to the ground and puts him in the Walls. Styles is able to make it to the ropes. Jericho is angry and starts some brutal offense on ring apron and outside to AJ, including a class Lion Tamer outside!

The split crowd is starting to boo Y2J more now. Jericho hits the Code Breaker as AJ is re-entering the ring but Styles gets his arm under the rope to break it. Jericho starts shouting "You are stupid to" to AJ. Styles starts fighting back. A bunch of roll throughs from both men lead to the Styles Clash for the 1, 2... KICK OUT.

AJ puts the Calf Crusher on immediately. Jericho fights it but is forced to tap out!

AJ Styles defeats Chris Jericho via submission.

Jericho pulls Styles down from celebration and stares him down. Styles screams "Do you want to go again?" and both men look poised to fight. Instead, Y2J extends his hand and AJ shakes it.

This was a fun match that the crowd was really into.

The New Day to appear on 'The Cutting Edge Peep Show'

21193516sYebDW3n.jpg

E&C start with some promotion for their new show that airs after the PPV. Christian talks about how Cleveland was the home of the first tag team ladder match before the New Day interrupts to come out early.

Xavier says the New Day can do whatever they want, including a one sided free style battle, and Woods drops some. E&C talks about how early on, the New Day wasn't interesting (Edge never say "chocolate act so vanilla") and they claim that the New Day became interesting by acting like Edge and Christian back in their prime.

Kofi says that New Day is better than E&C.. and everybody else. They run down the tag division (Ascensions, Usos, Dudleys, and the League of Nations) and says there's no one left that compares to them. The League of Nations interrupts the segment

Xavier says that they are not going to engage in fisticuffs with the League and instead turn the other cheek. They leave the ring, leaving the League and E&C in the ring. The League starts talking trash to Edge and Christian and this becomes a back and forth verbal brawl. E&C leave the ring too and calls the League the "International House of Dumbasses" and the New Day shows the League their booty dance. It ends with Christian chanting "Watch... Our Show."

As a quick run down: It started with E&C talking trash with the New Day, turned to the League of Nations talking trash to both of them, and ended with E&C AND the New Day taunting the League.

For those hoping for Enzo and Big Cass, that did not happen here.

#SocialOutcasts come out and discuss their road to WrestleMania. Then R-Truth comes out after them.

Oh apparently this is a match.

R-Truth vs. Curtis Axel

R-Truth takes control early with a hip toss, but the Outcasts jump on the apron to distract Truth. Axel takes advantage while the other 3 do a victory lap.

Goldust comes down to the ring as well and trips up Axel while the ref is distracted with the other Outcasts. R-Truth takes advantage in the ring while Goldust lays out Slater and tosses Adam Rose in the ring, which throws Truth off balance. Axel capitalizes with a roll up to win.

Curtis Axel defeats R-Truth via pinfall.

Goldust gets in the ring and apologizes afterwards. He's still lobbying for a tag team.
