GHAZIABAD: A 35-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped by three property dealers in Tronica City off state highway 57 in Ghaziabad on Tuesday evening. Police said that she had gone to Gurgaon to meet the two property dealers who took her to Loni to show some flats in their Scorpio car where the third accused joined them. Two of the three accused have been taken in custody.
Police said the victim is a resident of Vishwas Nagar in east Delhi. She had been looking for a property to buy in Ghaziabad and had contacted the two property dealers in Gurgaon who were supposed to show her some flats in Tronica City. "The two picked her up from her residence and drove to Tronica City in Loni to show her some flats," said a police officer.
Upon reaching Tronica City, the two were joined by another man, who claimed to be a friend of the two property dealers. "When the victim and the two property dealers were travelling in the Scorpio car, the third man gave her a drink laced with a sedative," said a senior police officer.
According to the police, the victim said that she became unconscious after drinking the soft drink and was allegedly gang-raped in the moving vehicle. "We are currently investigating the allegations of the victim," said Jagdish Sharma , SP (Rural), Ghaziabad.
Two out of three accused, identified as Bhupender and Ravi, have been taken into custody for questioning, said police . Both are residents of Gurgaon and police are still on the lookout for the third accused. "The victim has been taken in for medical examination. We have recovered the Scorpio in which the rape was allegedly committed," added Sharma.
