BARASAT: In yet another case of gang rape in West Bengal, a woman was sexually assaulted allegedly by her landlord and four others at Bamungachi, near here, police said today.
The 24-year-old woman, who is a bar singer, was allegedly invited to a drink by her landlord. After getting her drunk the man and his four friends who were present at the time gangraped her last night, the police said quoting an FIR filed by her.
The woman stayed alone as her husband stays at their ancestral village at Gaighata in North 24 Parganas.
Following her FIR, the police arrested the landlord during the day. Medical tests conducted on the woman confirmed her complain, the police added.
