Wipro Technologies has changed the roles of its two senior executives. The company has appointed Suchira Iyer, former Country Head for its Greater China region, as the Chief Marketing Officer. Rajan Kohli, the IT services firms current CMO will now take over as the vertical head for its banking business.
Iyer, an old Wipro hand, used to look after operations for Wipro's business in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. During her 18 year old stint in the company, Iyer has held various leadership roles in the areas of Sales, Strategic Alliances, Delivery, Quality, Operations, and Talent Acquisition. Suchira will now report to TK Kurien, CEO, IT Business and Executive Director, Wipro Ltd.
After his two year stint as the chief marketing officer, Rajan Kohli, will take over as the head of banking vertical. Kohli became Wipro's CMO in 2009, when its then CMO Jesse Paul left the firm to start her own marketing consulting firm. Kohli has been with Wipro for over 15 years now.
