If windows 8 installed then upgrade it to windows 8.1 and update it. windows 8 is not supported by Microsoft
You can try upgrading windows 8 to windows 10. If it doesn't activate (you can buy a license from Microsoft store) or you don't like it you can roll back to windows 8.

PS: piracy isn't allowed here.

Microsoft's Windows 10 just got into another privacy controversy as it began asking insider build testers their mobile phone numbers. It was reported by German blog WindowsArea on 30 December, that when you do a fresh install of the Windows 10 Insider Build 17063, users run into a screen without a Skip button and demands the user to give their phone number.
