Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella was left red-faced during a presentation at the Dreamforce conference when voice-activated assistant Cortana misheard his request … three times.
During the demo, Windows 10 assistant Cortana was supposed to analyse SalesForce data.
"Show me my most at-risk opportunities," Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella asked the assistant.
But the Windows 10 software failed to understand its creator and instead brought-up a web-search for "show me to buy milk at this opportunity."
Yikes. Still, Mr Nadella bravely battled on with his demo in-front of the packed auditorium and asked Cortana again.
This time Cortana decided the CEO wanted to create a reminder. And during the third attempt, Mr Nadella quickly quit after the voice assistant failed to understand him.
"Sorry about that," the told the Dreamforce conference, "Someone’s trying to save me from backstage.”
Fortunately, he was able to get it to work on his next try by changing the query to, "show me the most risky opportunities."
