Cool. Yesterday I just read the thread title. This morning I too saw blue colour double tick and realized the update. Yet to check for group chat.

As this update is coming to more and more devices, I guess couples are scared that they can't lie anymore and looking for alternatives. That's why Telegram is trending on Play store now. But the sad thing is, Telegram has the read receipts already for a very long time. So, that's not an alternative!![emoji3]

Found a bug in the group read receipts. As WhatsApp described, the ticks should turn blue in a group only after all the members read a message. But instead the ticks are turning blue after just one member in the group read the message!! Hope they need to fix it.
