One of my neighbour is born to a Tamil father & Odia mother but she can't understand either of these. Her communication language since childhood within family is Hindi. What's her mother tongue? Hindi or Odia?

If he is communicating with his mother in Hindi since childhood, he can consider his mother tongue as Hindi (as per Western theory, the language one use to bond with mother as a child is the true mother tongue).

That's exactly what I mentioned
If I don't know a language, it can't be my mother tongue. It's not Mother's tongue (the language my mother speak), but the language in which I speak with my mother.

All Indian languages have ka kha ga and is derived from same language, communities created their own language to hide what they are talking from others.

Maybe people are seeing this: What is your mother tongue, and how can you boast and be proud about it?
Everyone is proud of their mother tongue, nothing wrong with that.
Aren't we feel proud of ourselves as Indians, though India is not as developed as other and lags behind other western countries.
