Western Digital Corporation which owns HGST hard drive division has just announced the launch of the HGST Touro Mobile 2TB and HGST Touro Mobile 3TB external hard drives priced at Rs 9,200 and Rs 14,200 respectively.
The HGST Touro Mobile is the monicker for HGST’s external hard drives. They come with USB 3.0 interface. The 2TB and 3TB Touro Mobile drives will also come with local and cloud backup facilities. You can access your data anytime via any device so long as you are connected to the internet.
Both the external drives are Windows ready and can be easily reformatted for Mac according to Western Digital. The drive measure 19m thick and 110mm x 80mm, weighing in at 227 grams.
Recently HGST had introduced a helium filled internal hard drive. Called the HGST Ultrastar He10 , the drive is the largest capacity drop-in ready drive and according to HGST, it also provides the lowest power consumption per TB.
