Watched "Dupahiya" over last week.This theme of telling stories from rustic villages is turning out like Ayushman Khurana movies of lockdown period.My other gripe with this series is when you are portraying the characters from Bihar atleast get someone who can speak like a Bihari rather than sounding out like a buffoon as Renuka Shahane did in Dupahiya.Hrithik did same in "Super 30" in addition to getting coated to look like a Bihari.
 
Khakee: Bengal Chapter. I will be honest here. Series banked on nostalgia. Plot was good. Execution was very poor. Things were rushed without letting the plot progress. It felt more or less like a masala movie. For anyone that doesn't know. Series is showing the true side of Bengal during Left era. They ruled using parar gunda aka goons. I hated the fact that they didn't show much of Kolkata like they did in Kahani movie. They could've involved some bit of Durga Puja. Other than that switching between Hindi and Bengali was really annoying. We didn't get to know much about Barun Roy's history. Chitrangana character was the most annoying and worthless in the entire story. Also I won't forgive makers for what they did to Deepa's character. It was disturbing and ruined the show's ending for me.
 
Watched 2 Malayalam movies(Dubbed in Hindi) over this week,Officer on Duty and Rekhachitram .Both are very well made suspense thrillers .Malayalam movies unlike their Tamil.Telugu or Hindi counterparts are not obnoxiously over the top.There is till scope for story and acting in their movies unlike majority of the other language movies.
