Agree but the original movie is considered as a masterpiece and it has been shown so many times on TV that majority of the public who watches tv would have seen it.Moreover, there was nothing fascinating about the story .It focussed more on showcasing the acting abilities of the actors rather than a mass entertainer. That doesn't matter. There have been other remakes that were successful despite people seeing dubbed version of the original.
Well that was the general view.I didn't find it slow either.
This also i agree and but it is not only down to the availability of movies after few days on OTT.Now there are so many things to watch on OTT that people do not need to go to theatres just for the sake of it.Most of the movies i have personally watched in theatres over last year or 2 have been the Hollywood movies. Now a days a movie has to be something special or has to star a hero with mad following like Shahrukh or Salman. The days of small town movies seems to be over ,Ayushmann Khurana recently told in an interview that it is difficult for a film like Bareily ki Barfi to find success.I think I was looking at box office figures and thought it was unsuccessful. We need to accept that we have new set of audience who prefers to stream over going at theatres.
