Vu has launched two new ranges of 4K LED TVs, the Premium and Curve ranges. The Premium range is already available on Flipkart, while the Curve range will be available starting in the first week of October. The Premium range includes two variants: 65-inch (Rs. 1,56,000) and 75-inch (Rs. 3,00,000), while the Curve range will be available in 55-inch (Rs. 1,00,000) and 65-inch (Rs. 1,80,000) size options.
Speaking at the event, Devita Saraf, CEO and Design Head, Vu Technologies, commented "Our revolutionary UHD TV series and the advanced Curve TV undoubtedly are category defining products in their own right. There are no competing products in the industry, with similar features or price points. Discerning consumers who are looking for an all-inclusive techno-luxurious experience in one Television set, the latest range of TVs from Vu's product stable is the ultimate answer. Braced with first-of-its-kind design features, our TVs make watching anything and everything, a riveting experience."
"We a have the largest range of TVs after Sony, Samsung and LG with 22 Unique SKUs in the Indian market. We have had 350 percent year-on-year growth since 2013 aiming for a turnover of Rs. 600 crores in 2016-17. With the launch of our new portfolio and many more in the pipeline, we are confident of achieving that goal within the stipulated time frame", she added.
The Vu Premium UHD TVs feature Pixelight HDR technology, a quad core processor and a dedicated button on the remote for Netflix access, among others. The smart TVs are the company's first HDR-enabled TVs, and will be able to take advantage of improved colours and brightness on HDR content. The upcoming Curve range of Vu TVs also feature 4K resolutions, along with a curved screen and smart functionality.
Vu has had considerable success selling TVs online in partnership with online retailer Flipkart, and the company claims to be the largest online seller of TVs in India, with a peak of 35,000 units sold in a day last year. The new TVs continue to offer feature-filled large screen TVs at competitive prices that strongly undercut the established Japanese and Korean TV brands, such as Sony, Samsung and LG. The company's last major launch was the PremiumSmart range in May, with prices starting at Rs. 20,000.
