Good News Vodafone Idea inks deal to offer ZEE5 content

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea Ltd (VIL) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) have entered into a tie up for the latter's over-the-top (OTT) platform ZEE5, in a bid to raise content play to take on rivals Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel. Under the partnership, the content portfolio of ZEE5 will be available to Vodafone Idea customers on Vodafone Play as well as Idea movies and TV app, the Mumbai-based telco said in a statement Monday.

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea Limited and ZEEL entered into a strategic alliance for ZEE5, an OTT platform.

Under the partnership, the content portfolio of ZEE5 will be available to Vodafone Idea customers on Vodafone Play as well as Idea movies and TV app, the Mumbai-based telco in a statement said.

The telecom market leader said that its customers of Vodafone Idea can now enjoy the entire content catalogue of ZEE5 providing a seamless viewing experience via multiple devices.

The content of ZEE5 can be accessed by customers through Vodafone Play or idea movies and TV app. The ZEE5 content is available across 12 languages such as English, Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Bhojpuri, Gujarati and Punjabi.
