Vodafone 4G service reaches to Meerut

India’s second-largest telecom carrier Vodafone Tuesday , launched 4G service in Meerut area under the UP (West) telecom circle.

Vodafone SuperNet 4G will significantly enhance the mobile internet experience for customers with faster download and upload of videos and music and will also facilitate greater ease in using their favourite apps, the Mumbai-based telco in a statement said.

With the new launch, Vodafone is now able to offer mobile services via 2G, 3G and 4G technologies in Meerut with a fibre backhaul.

The company is also offering free SIM upgrade to 4G together with 2 GB free data for every user.

Telco’s 4G services are now also available in Moradabad, Agra, Bareilly, Dehradun and more than 50 other cultural, educational and tourism hubs, according to it.

Vodafone also said that it will launch 4G across several other major towns across the circle by March 2017.

“UP West & Uttarakhand is a key market for Vodafone India and as one of the leading telecom service provider in the region, we have a lot to offer to our over 11.3 million customers,” Dilip Kumar Ganta, Business Head – UP West & Uttarakhand, Vodafone India said.

Beginning with Dehradun, Haridwar, Aligarh, Ganta said that the company will shortly expand the Vodafone SuperNet 4G service across the entire circle in a phased manner, after the initial Meerut launch.
