After numerous leaks, Vivo has unveiled its new flagship smartphone in the Chinese market.
Dubbed as X5Pro, the smartphone has been priced at 2598 yuan ($418, INR 26,550) and will go on sale beginning May 25 in Black and White colour options. There is no word on the release in other markets at this point.
According to Vivo, the X5Pro sports an aluminum-magnesium alloy frame with 6.44m thickness and comes with a 5.2-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by octa-core 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6752 processor and packs iris-scanning support, which can be used to unlock the smartphone as well restrict access to certain applications.
The phone also features 2300 mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. Among other specifications, Vivo has included 13MP f2.0 primary camera, 8MP f2.4 wide-angle front shooter, 4G LTE support and dual-SIM connectivity in the smartphone.
On the software front, the company has loaded Android 5.0-based FunTouch OS 2.1 in the smartphone.
