They won't get 3G service but they can still latch on to 4G network.

Vi has upgraded its LTE spectrum bandwidth across 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, and 2500 MHz in Kerala, Karnataka, Punjab, and Haryana. The company has also shut down its 3G services and re-farmed the spectrum for 4G to improve the network quality.

why refarming to 4g at this point can't they directly refarm to 5g and overtake the competitors?

these are either spice and escotel circle which idea acquired.
so vi fear losing loyal customer and it seems that 2g network equipment comes to end of life.

this is good sign at least in all Category A circle and few regions of B circle defiantly there is need of 3+1 telco which will fulfil demand.

rest of vi's loss making circle c should be shutdown or merge with bsnl to avoid multiple 2 network
