D Sports slams HK T20 for ‘misleading’ Press release

D Sports has slammed the Hong Kong T20 organisers for “misleading and inaccurate” claims in media that the league organisers have reached an agreement with the Discovery-owned broadcaster for the league’s live telecast.

“The (Hongkong T20) organisers have put out a misleading and inaccurate information that we (D Sports) will be broadcasting their tournament,” TS Panesar, Business Head, D Sport, told. “We have had no understanding at all for the broadcast of this tournament. In fact, D Sports is not interested at all to broadcast this tournament.

“Neither we have any understanding with the Hong Kong T20 organiser, neither we are interested in that property,” Panesar added.

The Hongkong T20 organisers in a media release had claimed that the third edition of the Hong Kong T20 Blitz will be televised in India jointly by Neo Sports and D Sports.
