TTSL launches IPv6 Initiative
Today, Internet is predominantly based on Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) which has limited IP addresses (four billion only). Due to rapid growth of Internet, availability of IP addresses has become crucial. IPv6 is the next generation Internet Protocol which offers 340 trillion trillion trillion (340 undecillion) addresses. IPv6 is expected to gradually replace IPv4.
IPv6 also adds many improvements over IPv4 in areas such as routing and network auto configuration. This helps in accelerating the deployment of machine to machine communication.
Tata Teleservices is committed to promoting IPv6 services and is network ready for IPV6 transition.
We provide the following IPv6 services:
IPv6 Native Service:
This enables customers to access the IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6) content via direct connection using TTL’s IPv6 enabled network.
IPv6 Dual Stack Service:
This enables customers to access the IPv4 (Internet Protocol version 6) and IPv4 (Internet Protocol version 4) content using the same physical interface.
